The popular and very talented all girl rock group, Saarkie just released a brand new single and video – River Blues.
Mjön van Blommestein, bassist of the group wrote the song about the Orange River which has a double meaning about rowing and life itself. The girls when on a month long tour of the Cape and went rowing on the Orange River in Namibia.
“The song is about the hurdles which cross your life and you really a hundred present sure where your life is going. You have an idea and a vision of where you do want to go. You trust that at the end of your journey it will pay off all the hard word” said Mjön.
The music video for “River Blues” which was also produced by Mjön (Girl With Hat Productions) was released with the song. The video is clips of video and photos taken during the Orange River rowing experiences. It features the people and guides that was with them on the trip.
