A Dinner Date With Neil Sandilands & Die Band

This rich, otherworldly show offers the best musicianship our beautiful South Africa has on offer and with the unconventional, raspy, edgy Sandilands at the helm, you are in for a treat.
The Neil Sandilands Experience will be performing at Christie’s at 32 on Russell, Nelspruit on the 14th of July, comes the hour 19:00.
The ticket will include a harvest table of cold & warm delights, a bar and wine tasters presented by Christie’s stellar chef in this most ideal location. The venue is top-rated by Traveler’s Choice.
Neil Sandilands is the buzz. Sweet Tooth Season 2 has just been released on Netflix, with international praise, in which he portrays the formidable General Douglas Abbott. Throw in the mix his critically acclaimed new album “Allegaarkie vir ’n Askeet” and his hugely successful “Somertoer: Woorde & Akkoorde na die Noorde” of February 2023, and you have a recipe for delight and amazement.
Sandilands is venturing north again. Well, north-east from the Overstrand, to be exact. He is taking his band of string-slinger-maestros and things-smashers on the road all the way to Mpumalanga. Schalk Joubert (Bass), as per usual, Frank Freeman (Electric Guitars) as well as the international percussion bedazzler Ronan Skillen is coming to Christie’s!
The show consists of work from all his albums “Sangoma Sandilands & Jou Pa se Posse”, “Die Groot Niks”, “Die Groot 5” as well as the latest songs from the mind-bending “Allegaarkie vir ’n Askeet”. Coupled with stories and anecdotes from his childhood in Randfontein, all the way to Sunset Boulevard, the island of Kauai, New York, Auckland and yes, Namakwaland.
Ask anyone who has been to any of these shows…it’s like a secret. Once you’ve seen it you cannot unsee it. Life seems, well, a gift, all the more. This is what the doctor ordered for your winter of discontent. See you there, Friday14 July, 2023 at 7.00pm for the lekkerest Laeveld winter evening in years
